Background of Pangasinan
Pangasinan, is one of the largest and famous province in the Philippines. It's provincial capital is Lingayen and it is located on the north western island of Luzon. They are one of the biggest contributor of export income in the north western side of the country because they are the number one exporter of bangus (milk fish) in the whole world. Pangasinan become more famous when Guinness World Book of record entitled Pangasinan as the "Bangus Capital of the World" in 2004. Since 2004, they started celebrating their Bangus Festival, and this festival became a tourist destination.
Also, Pangasinan is not only famous because of their so called "Bangus" they are also famous because they have a lot of tourist spot. They have their hundred islands which was nominated before as one of the 7 wonders of the world. They also have their beaches, because they are located near the south china sea and the lingayen gulf, they have a potential beach spots that tourist can enjoy. And also, the famous Cape Bolinao Lighthouse which was built by the Americans in 1903.
