Internet Burial

As we all know, life today is hard. People today will do anything just to earn money, like being an OFW and get seperated to their love ones just to earn. But what will happen if you are thousand miles away from your family and one of your family member died? So you will be needing to go back to your family and sacrifice your work just to be present at the burial. But that was the scenario before. Now, this guy come up with this idea, The Internet Burial. With this you will now be able to attend the burial even if you are thousand miles away from your family. They will stream the video online so you will see the things happening at the burial. This invention is very helpful to those people working overseas. It is cheaper and more affordable than buying a ticket going back to your family. Since many Filipino now are working overseas, I can foresee that there will be a mobile application for this invention.

Cyber Pornography

Cyber Sex a way of selling your body through webcam and paying you through paypal. This Cyber Sex is one of the famous crime here in the Philippines. Kids are being sold on cam sometimes by their own mother just to earn money. Based on the research of PNP, last 2013 the cyber pornography rate increased by 38%. Now, Philippines is on the Top 5 on cyber sex crime based on United Nation. Our government are doing their best to clear out this crime but since technology and internet is wide and we cant monitor everyone while using their internet, I am sure that there is no hope on totally killing this crime but I hope that they will be able to decrease the number of victims of cyber sex especially those young ones being sold online.

Hacking

China is claiming that Panatag shoal and other islands near Palawan are owned by them, this tension started when China started building man-made islands and oil reefs at the area despite that the UN ordered China to stop building structures there until the tension is not yet settled. Many Filipino felt that we are being bullied by China because they know that we are nothing compared to China. Filipino hackers made a move to let China know that we are not scared of them and we will stand to what is right so they hacked the government websites of China. Filipino hackers left a note to some of the government websites of China that they will not back down on what is right. For me, what the filipino hackers did was cool because while our Government is resolving the tension by legal matters, our hackers are there to support us. The Government did not jail the hackers instead the government was also thankful to what the hackers did to China.

Intrict Class

As the term ends in De Lasalle, i'm starting to like this class of mine, too bad it was almost the end of the term when I start liking the Subject. At first, I was shy to go to my Intrict Class because I was expecting that my classmates will be all freshman and that I will have no friends in that class. But when the second meeting came, I have no choice but to attend the class, but i was surprise that when I entered the room I saw some upper class men so I thought that I will not be a loner in this class. At first I admit that the class was a bit boring for me because i'm really not a computer fan. But as the term passed by, i'm starting to like the class because of the Professor. She is just cool. For the whole term, I never saw her get mad. Also, the topic lately in the class are interesting, like assembling computers, watching CSI and stuff. I'm looking forward to be a student of my prof today. I learned so many new things in the class and i'm hoping that she will be our Prof again..

Project NOAH

Philippines is being surrounded by water like Pacific Ocean and South China Sea. This is the reason why the Philippines is always hit by typhoons every year by at least 27 times. Floods, Storm Surge and gusty winds when hit by typhoon is normal here in Philippines. Last 2012, Philippines was hit by a super typhoon named Ondoy. Marikina, Rizal and Quezon are three of many cities that was greatly affected by the typhoon. Marikina's flood was above house level and many people died because of this typhoon. Because of that calamity, the government started funding Project Noah, this is a project of a DOST and PAGASA that will be able to detect and predict up coming typhoons so they can warn us as early as possible. Now,this project is still running and still helping many Filipino. I hope that with this Project Noah, we will be able to eradicate the death toll when Philippines will be hit by a typhoon.

Samsung or Apple?

Two of the famous cellphone providers today are Samsung and Apple, now it's for us customers to decide what product to choose. I use iPhone and obviously its from apple. In my opinion, I think apple is better than Samsung in terms of their operating system and for gaming. Its screen is not pixelated unlike Samsung. Also, Apple's appstore is more convinient to use. I'm a gamer, so for you guys out there, I will choose apple if your goal is to play games in your cellphone. As for Samsung, it is more user friendly than apple. It is easy to use, you don't need to study how to use Samsung unlike apple. For oldies, I prefer you use Samsung because it is not complicated to use. For the camera, I think Samsung has a better camera than apple, so if you love taking pictures, I prefer you choose Samsung.

Think before you Click

In our generation, internet is rapidly improving and growing. Non-stop developing of applications, numerous numbers of social networking cites and other things that is related to technology and internet. These past few years, Philippine Government noticed something that is also increasing, it is the increasing numbers of people who commit suicide. The Government reviewed the cases and they found out that one of the main reason why these people commit suicide is because they were bullied cyber bullied. They were being bullied online. Now, our Government together with other TV networks come up with this Think Before You Click saying to help those people who are being cyber bullied. Now, the government of the Philippines is passing a law about cyber bullying. I guess this will help lessen the increasing numbers of suicide attempts in our country because of cyber bullying. Me myself is a cyber bully, but now i think first before I published anything I say online, I became more sensitive about the things I say online. Now, i'm hoping that people will not just think first before they click but also think first before they act.
