Project NOAH
Philippines is being surrounded by water like Pacific Ocean and South China Sea. This is the reason why the Philippines is always hit by typhoons every year by at least 27 times. Floods, Storm Surge and gusty winds when hit by typhoon is normal here in Philippines.
Last 2012, Philippines was hit by a super typhoon named Ondoy. Marikina, Rizal and Quezon are three of many cities that was greatly affected by the typhoon. Marikina's flood was above house level and many people died because of this typhoon.
Because of that calamity, the government started funding Project Noah, this is a project of a DOST and PAGASA that will be able to detect and predict up coming typhoons so they can warn us as early as possible. Now,this project is still running and still helping many Filipino. I hope that with this Project Noah, we will be able to eradicate the death toll when Philippines will be hit by a typhoon.
